Hey, Can’t seem to find a definitive answer on this. I have tried to format 3 different CF cards on my Octatrack - all were the correct type. It seems that the system just won’t do it! Otherwise the CF card functions normally, I can load and play samples, sets etc. It just means that I can’t load any templates like EZBOT’s because the file structure of the card isn’t correct. Manually creating the file structure doesn’t work either, unless I’m missing something.
Hey, thanks for answering. Yeah I place everything in correct folders if I create them manually but templates aren’t showing up. The Octatrack should format a CF card with the correct file structure already in place. It’s not doing that at all after trying multiple CF cards. Makes me think there is some kind of OS issue. I purchased the Octatrack like this so I suspect the previous user had the same issue and perhaps wasn’t aware. I guess I should try an OS reinstall.
The file structure is really simple. Projects and Audio folders are in Sets folders.
After, format, IIRC you should be prompt to create a SET (mount).
It creates a SET folder with an AUDIO folder.
Place project folders in that set, WITHOUT SUB FOLDERS.
Projects have no folders inside, just files.
Ezbot templates are probably compressed files, double check to place only project folders (no subfolders).
No file structure after format.
Mounting a SET creates file structure : a SET folder with an AUDIO folder inside.
When you create a PROJECT, it creates a PROJECT folder in SET folder.
You can create subfolders for samples in AUDIO folder, not for projects.
(When you record something, saved files are in AUDIO folder by default. In PERSONALYSE settings, you can choose current PROJECT folder instead AUDIO one.)
Sorry it didn’t !
Could you show your CF card folders path ?
Can you save and open projects ?
Are you sure you place Ezbot templates correctly in the current set ? (a project folder containing project files without subfolders)
Can you see the templates using OT FILE MANAGER ?
