Octatrack mk2: Why are tracks not Muting?

Octa MK2–Going nuts here. I have all tracks muted, sound is still coming out of 2 of the tracks. when I turn the volumes down/off on those tracks it goes away, but that aint right. any ideas what to check to fix?

Are you using the headpone out to listen to the audio? Are any of your tracks cued? How is the headphone mix set?
Are you using neighbour machines? Are you using T8 master? Are you sure you are in mute mode?

Main outs into mixer. What mode is Mute mode? I just have all the green Cue/Mute track lights OFF. …Is that not right? (Only been at the OT a few weeks off and on) jumping between learning 4 Elektrons at once…

Hold function and push the down arrow to cycle modes. You’ll find the mute mode here

then what? Looking at Slots?

You asked which mode is ‘mute mode.’ ‘Slots’ is ‘slots mode’

‘Quick mute’ is mute mode.

…just letting you know so you can check there as was suggested above…

I’m stupid, didn’t scroll down.

I see the Mutes, but what should I do, in a nutshell? will add a pic.

The “S” indicates a SOLO’ed track. That track isn’t muted.

Go to the mixer menu (press [MIX]) and press [CUE] + [TRIG(1-8)] to solo/unsolo tracks.

[TRIG(1-8)} means one of the first 8 trigger buttons (not the TRACK buttons).

Can you upload a quick video with a wider shot? Let’s see the whole machine (including inputs if you’ve got ‘em) and then do a push play. Just a quick 10 second video will help

edit: looks like @tnussb might have solved it for ya

checking, thanks guys…

That’s the badger! I forget about solo, never use it. Unsolo the tracks, mute function will return to normal.

Learning 4 elektrons at once huh? No wonder you are scratching your noggin!
