Does anyone here experience using the octatrack as an effectbox with the Allen and Heath Xone 92? Is it possible?
I just can’t seem to get it to work and I guess it’s the Octatrack since that’s the maschine I know the least.
XONE92: Output AUX 1 to Input AB OctaTrack
Main output from Octatrack to AUX Input 1 on Xone92.
I do get a connection and I see the input is registrering the signal but I can’t seem to modulate Input AB. Could you tell me how to put effects on Input AB?

Use a Thru machine on one of the OT’s audio tracks.
Also, make sure to activate a trig on that track to open the amp.
It has cost me some hours before I realized that was the reason behind not hearing anything although the meter leds were blinking furiously.
You can just hit the track button and play, you don’t need to run the sequencer to play a through track.
Well, I input from the mixer Aux 1 R/L to Octatrack A&B. The lights are constantly yellow. From OT main out back into the Allen amd heath but I cant hear nothing.
Did put a thru maschine on track 1. Selected AB input. Pressed a trig for safety. Still no modulation to the sound. What could be wrong?
Struck me now that it might not be possible with the octatrack as effectbox unless the audio to the speakers comes from the OT.
The speakers are connected through the A&H, just want to send the audio through the OT for some effects then back to the A&H…
Do anyone have experience witht this?
Can you hear the Xone sound in the headphone out of the Octatrack?
If I increase Aux level to the max and the headphones level to max I can hear xone sound through the Ot yes. With low volume effects.
However, when I increase aux on A&H to max the input levels is a steady yellow.
Well, in that case, use the gain parameter in the thru machine you use in the Octa.
In the Xone you need to connect the Octa out to the return 1 channel, select rtn in the top button of that channel and that’s all
