To be honest, I’m the sort of guy that would play a prank like this given the opportunity!!!

maybe they just won the lotto

seems 1st Sept is a bit close… I guess they could announce it at Summer NAMM (13 July)

Seems like a dream, but if it’s real I hope it includes:
Newer DT reverb
128mb+ sample ram
Conditional trigs
Midi CC crossfader assignable
Option for legato (overlapping notes) for midi sequencing
Larger screen a la DT

won’t be 1st sept, digtakt was always listed as 1st Mar lol

november at the earliest

yeh but speculation is half the fun

Sweetwater here in US gives 30 days from day of purchase.

Damn I really hope this drops in tye next few months, I’ve been on the fence about an OT for a while just wishing it had more modern specs, and if it’s coming in November I’m going to have to show incredible self control to wait that long

I speculate that dozens round here will flip their shit if something is announced after Big Bad Elektron showed incredible dishonesty with Digitakt…

(sarcasm alert)

If the new OT is supposed to run on same framework then everybody should lol

Dare someone to order it

Oh shit, I don’t really believe it but part of me thinks I should start saving up just in case! :aw:
It’d be hilarious if some naut works at Juno and is pulling the ultimate ā€œOT2 confirmedā€ prank…

With Ryanair prices can be higher when using a mac

Dont worry it will take at least a year to stop it freezing.

Well, in this case we are talking abut a upgraded version of something that me for example bought today.
Why would I pay full price for something that is about to be outdated.
At least I will have leverage to get my price further down or get a in store credit towards next purchase.

Damn, I just got a new OT less than 2 weeks ago… :frowning:

I held out getting one for awhile thinking Elektron might have an updated version soon, but figured it would be a long ways off with the DT getting released recently, so I finally pulled the trigger. I had a DT on pre-order, but they had been delayed from my retailer again, and decided the OT would suit me better anyway.

I have 45 days to return it, but I am afraid I will have to wait until next year if this MKII is even legit. I wish we could get a confirmation either way. I love my OT already, but seems silly to pay full price if a new one is right around the corner.

ahw great… I was almost ā€˜affraid’ that after DT there would be a GAS void in my life

I’d use the DT and a rumored OT MkII for the exact same things; making sample based music with chopped up breaks while sequencing external synths.

Most important thing is just to be making music. If I had the option of using something by Elektron that can work with stereo samples, has more effects (timestretching, etc.), and maybe analog filters/overdrive with new hardware/OS, I think I’d prefer that over the DT. Personally, I’d be willing to pay extra for those features. Am I willing to give up the cute size of the DT, and wait for who knows how long? That’s the real question.
