Octatrack + Digitakt combination

Does this combination make sense? I have both and wanna try to use it like 8mono/8 stereo chanel combo (Digitakt as a drum machine, octatrack for other sampled stuff). But i not shure will it sound good together if i use digitakt through octatrack inputs? I will be grateful for your opinions
P.S sory for bad english

A lot of people do this. There’s no real downside to it, especially if you’re good with both machines. Running the DT through the OT won’t be a problem. If you want to use FX from the OT on the DT, you’ll need to use one of the 8 OT audio tracks. If you don’t need the OT FX on the DT, you can just let the DT signal pass through the OT to the outputs.

My current liveset is those two. OT set up this way:
T1 - thru for DT
T2 - NEI
T3 - sometimes used for textures… but not always used
T4 - resampling track for transition trick
T5 to 7 - different stereo samples, synth stems or loops mainly, sometimes using NEI as well
T8 - master track

I realize that DT is almost enough, but I like to be able to play longer, stereo audio on the OT, while also using it for transitions and as a performance mixer

It make sense, but sometime just the OT or just the DT is enough.
