Octatrack Cue Outputs + 2 FX boxes

Hi, is there a way to use the stereo cue outputs as 2 independent mono outputs?

I’d like to send different tracks to either L or R, send them into FX boxes as mono signals and them bring the stereo returns back into both of the stereo inputs.

Is this possible? I could do it by panning hard left or right, but then they’d be panned hard L or R in the main mix, which I don’t want.

Is it possible to monitor on both stereo input pairs at once?

My approach to this is to think the 2 FX chains from the cue outputs as sends mixed outside the octatrack.

In this mixer you have 3 stereo (or mono for the Cues if your effect chain does not turn it into stereo) line ins originated by the octatrack.

So, with this approach in mind, what you send to the CUEs you don’t really want to hear it on the Master of the Octatrack, because you hear the result in the mixer and you work the stereo image from the effect chain or use the panning on the mixer; you send to the CUES and mute the Master.

One or two these might do the trick - passive, not active, so shouldn’t add much noise.
