i try to handle a Norddrum 2 with my Octatrack now there are 2 Problems i cant solve.
I can use gridrec mode and it works fine but cant trigger a note of the ND2 without in REC mode.
It works in Chromatic mode and the ND2 Plays the right Pitch but if i get in Live Rec. i play in the right pitch but the Record pitch is 2 octaves to high.
dont know why. anyone have a solution ?
Quite similar as I´ve found out regarding my OT and NM G2 Engine (different ‘octave’ references). See:

If possible, you can use MidiOX to monitor the output of your ND2. Perhaps you´re able to see which octave it transmits… (not sure if that is possible, don´t remember right now).

I also use a Nord Drum 2 with my Octatrack.
If i understand right, you are trying to play one slot of the ND2 chromatically while in live rec with the chromatic trig mode on the OT ? Or are you playing the ND2 from the nord pad and recording in the OT ?
Just tried the first case and i get the right pitch. I set the midi track to the channel 1 on the OT if i need to play that slot chromatically.
But when i am in the track trig mode (REC mode OFF) the ND2 plays 3 octaves lower, i guess the OT sends C0 octave in that case… You can adjust the ND2 with the pitch setting, adding 36 to the current value (3 octaves, each increment on the ND2 is a semitone) on the slot in the ND2.

Thanks for the replay, i just trigger the ND2 via octatrack. So the chromatic mode is working right now if i set the pitch on the ND2 first. But i wondering why i cant trigger the ND2 without chromatic mode. If i set to trigger, midi is send from the octa but there is no response in the ND2.
I have the feel i made something wrong in the midi settings of the octatrack because it works as i Connect the ND2 first time.
How you set ur midi settings in the Octa ?
