Sorry for this question, but i did send CC7 to the Octatrack via EC4, and it controlled the Amp level, from the manual it states track level. That are two different controls for the Octatrack, as CC 25 is AMP volume - according to the manual? It was send via hapax host port - midi throu set - i dont think it hampers with it.
CC7 should control Track Level indeed. Can’t test atm.
