Octatrack can record with Earphones mic?

I bought Shure 535 earphones with a built-in microphone.
Is it possible to record by plugging into Octatrack’s Input?

You need a splitter cable to separate the signal from the mic existing in the TRRS connector. I don’t think there’s a standard for the mic pin, it can be one of the last 2 rings, you need to check which one is used for the mic signal.

I don’t know how easy it’ll be to find such splitter, if you know anything about electronics and soldering it’s a pretty simple DIY job

Oh I don’t have any knowledge about electronics😅
Maybe i just should use zoom h1n is easier.

Octatrack’s inputs are line level and not suited to plugging a mic directly in. Line out from the H1n will work a lot better.

you can buy this, it’s inexpensive, but like gurt tractor says, you’ll need to use an in-line preamp or something else to boost the mic line signal.
