I’m encountering an issue while switching banks in my Octatrack setup. When I trigger the action to change banks, the display shows the command has been executed, but I remain stuck in the current bank.
Pattern scale mode is set to “per track”
Master track length set to INF
My goal is to create a live set with 11 tracks, each stored in a different bank. While this method works, it’s tedious and prone to errors, especially when switching between banks.
I’d greatly appreciate any tips or suggestions to streamline this process. Thank you so much! 
Try changing this to 1 BAR and test again. Just as a test.
I don’t have my OT setup right now but is there not a CH. Length? If there’s no master or ch (change?) length set then, how does the OT know when to do the pattern/bank change?
I just tried to set the length to 1 bar (16 steps) but nothing changes.
To change bank I press BANK > Bank number > Pattern number and the OT enters the new bank automatically.

Yeah if you’re master length is set to INF you can’t change banks (or patterns) until you do a stop start. Change this to 16.

Hit ‘FUNC+PTN’ and go to the ‘PAT’ page. Under ‘CHAIN BEHAVIOUR’, set ‘USE PAT SET.’ to 16/16. This will perform pattern changes after 16 steps (1 BAR).
If you have this set to ‘PLEN’ then, it waits for the ‘Master’ length to finish before changing patterns. If this is set to ‘INF’, it will never change.
On newer Elektron devices, ‘CH. Len’ is set on the track scale page.
You can but you need to set the ‘CHAIN BEHAVIOR’ in the pattern setup menu. I just posted details in a post above.
So, you can still have ‘INF’ master length but still do pattern changes as intended.
