OctaCard Sample Converter for Octatrack

Hi all,
I just launched a website for converting samples at https://www.octacard.live/.

No install, no B.S. All conversions are done in your browser. Almost like it’s 2026 :joy_cat:

It’s build with the Octatrack in mind, but handles other formats and plays well with most devices. Hellooooo Multigrain!

The whole thing is vibe-coded and I have the AI automatically squashing bugs and shipping features. So If you want take a turn steering the ship then just drop some issues here: GitHub · Where software is built.

Tag an issue with ai:fix and it’ll get auto-fixed (I will still need to approve before it’s merged. I couldn’t get the ai:auto-approve tag to work :joy:)

Happy sample abuse and please go easy on my beautiful somewhat fragile code base!

Big thanks to @imacactus for the Project Manager BTW!

You are welcome ! :raised_hands:

Still have lot’s of features in progress / in backlog :fire: Btw Octatrack Manager app does include a sample browser/converter too

Soon it will be integrated within projects UI itself with extra fancy features !

Great app here nonetheless, i’ll probably get inspired by your project to update a few things ^^

Sounds good! I love your work! I did not know you had a sample converter, did you add that recently?

Funny story: I originally posted looking for a sample converter… didn’t find one… so I went off and built my own  Then I came back all excited and found yours. Classic. Anyway hopefully they complement each other. Mine is low friction, supports many devices, yours is deep.

Would love to compare notes sometime, cross-link, stay aligned so that we can help grow this ecosystem and keep weird hardware alive. I also put a link to your project in the about page.

Hi all, I have added device presets and support for a wide variety of devices. So now you can just select ‘Octatrack’ or ‘Digitakt v1’ etc from a dropdown.

To be clear, these presets only support sample file format. They don’t handle any device limitations regarding sample or filename lengths, etc.

Also added dark/light modes, and drag-and-drop.

Hey @rockinpete

Thanks a lot for your words !

Oh well it was added a couple of months ago - can’t wait to have it well integrated to projects with extra features like auto fix unsupported/missing samples and so on !

Atm next on todo is doing the user-guide for helping users discovering hidden features :joy:

Ahah classic story, no problem in any case! Both tools can and should co-exisits as they address different use-cases and serve a different user base :raised_hands:

I will definitely take a look and get inspired by your UI when I’ll dive back on that topic on Octatrack Manager project - I’d be happy to discuss choices and share ideas at that time :call_me_hand:

Thanks a lot for the link btw!
