Octa Mk2 + Vermona Drm1 + Pulsar23

Hi to everyone!
Struggling a lot while I try to midi connect my octatrack mk2 to a vermona drm1 and Pulsar23 using Ableton (midiface 8x8).
Octa midi out to midiface (?)
Midiface 1 out to vermona (?), ch 10
Midiface 2 out to pulsar (?), ch 1,2,3,4 (4 diff channels on ableton)
What am I doing wrong?

Also, can I use both octa and Ableton to clock?

Have you setup your midi settings in OT?
Project/midi / the. There are boxes to tick for sending transport etc

I don’t have the midi face thing but it will need to be setup I expect to receive midi from OT

no. only one. unless you like trouble. but the DRM1 needs no clock and it sounds like you’re sequencing the Pulsar from Ableton. so need need to transport clock to those anyway.

sounds like you want to sequence the DRM1 and Pulsar from Ableton, and send midi clock to the OT. so you don’t want to go OT->Midi Out->midiface. you want OT->Midi Thru->Midiface. this will send the midi from Ableton through the OT and Midiface and then to the DRM1 and Pulsar. (assuming you already have midi arriving at the OT without issue, that is…)
