OB and File Management (Saving, Renaming)

I’m not sure this post goes here, but I had some suggestions on how to make file management tasks much easier in OB.

  1. Save in-place.

In addition to being able to “save as…” to a pool or +drive slot, save the sound wherever it currently exists. When I’m creating a bank, I don’t want to have to save to a new sound every time I make a tiny tweak.

  1. Tag in-place.

Goes in tandem with the above. Allow tagging, then saving, in-place.

  1. Allow re-naming, tagging in the “sound browser” section.

Perhaps, as default, double-clicking the sound-name should allow re-naming. Similarly, double-clicking on the tag segment should allow tagging/re-tagging. Right-clicking could work, too.

3 YEARS LATER… Is this still not a thing (save in place in Overbridge)?

It only seems to let me save to a new unused slot? Trying to do this right now in Digitone. Please tell me I’m missing it…
