So good! Is the tracker sequencing the percussion bots?

I saw them perform in 2012 or thereabouts in an art warehouse and got to talk to them after, one of my favorite experiences.

I was wondering about the percussion and how it was controlled:

There seem to be a bunch of Polyend Percs – @Scot_Solida has a bunch of these if I’m not mistaken:

I have four of them. I wish I had three more. I was just using them this week, controlled by the MPC. I mostly use them with a Polyend Play. They can be controlled via MIDI or CV. They are superbly built and super-responsive. I wish Polyend were still making them. Unfortunately, when they come up on the secondhand market, they often have crazy prices attached. They are well worth seeking out, though. Brilliant devices.

The lengths we go to not have a proper drummer…

If I could find a drummer in the middle of rural Kansas that could keep a beat in 15/8 time without losing sync with an analog sequencer, I wouldn’t have to resort to such devices…

Just a general reflection friend, we all use sequencers and the whole sheebang… nothing against those specific devices.

Round here it is difficult to find A drummer, period.

No sweat! My reply was meant purely tongue-in-cheek - a jibe aimed at my self and my ridiculously inaccessible music, rather than any drummers in my locality or anywhere else.
