I wrote this album in 2024, and never released it. I got diagnosed with cancer 5 weeks ago, and will have surgery next week.
A lot happened since the diagnosis. I am in this weird cocoon state where the healthy-me is no longer there, but where the post-surgery-me can’t yet be experienced.
I realized I really wanted to get this album out there. Its focus is very much on appreciating the moment, about coming home to yourself, and rediscovering connection in face of a shaken nervous system, of feeling embedded in something greater that’s often elusive.
Those were the themes/atmosphere back in 2024, and it feels so fitting now, in my current situation.

Elektron entered my life in 2017, and it changed the way I make music. Entirely. In 2023 I started working with Drambo in the iPad – it’s sequencer works very similar to Elektron’s, and it’s the only compositional workflow that works for me. So this album is entirely made on the iPad, with Drambo. No external hardware or software. Mastering done with Grand Finale 2. The tracks have a lot of density, and some are close to 10min long.
