Now im getting the midi sync issue!

I saw this the other day, but cant seem to find the thread, so apologies for starting another.

Im now getting this midi sync issue.

rytm master > A4 slave.
make a few mutes
make a few filter changes
pull out the volume of the rytm for breakdown
wack the rytm back in

its gone out of sync by a few ms. have to double press the stop on the rytm to reset. and press start and its back in sync again.

did anyone find a fix for this? or what caused the problem in the first place?
