Hello I wonder if you can use the Novation Nocturn with the octatrack? Without a computer. Many thanks Rick
You would need a USB/midi interface as the nocturn only has a USB midi and does not have any din midi ports. The OT does not have USB midi.

afaicr the nocturn won’t even work with a USB host device that isn’t a computer as it needs the novation automap software, it’s certainly not class compliant, but it’s a surprisingly useful controller

Oh wow that severely limits what’s seems like a decent controller.

You’re better off with a Launch Control or better still, Launch Control XL. It doesn’t have a cross fader but the one on Octatrack is far better quality anyway.

damn, it seemed like an ideal controller for pd on a raspberry pi or something… requiring proprietary software is lame
