So I plan on grabbing an launchkey to play samples chromatically via midi.
My question is: is novation components a software that will allow me to configure this.? My good guess is yes but I have no experience with “components “ the question is time sensitive as I have one on hold at a great price.
My sense is telling me the launchkey should be completely customisable using “components “ is this true?

Customisation varies from model to model - which Launchkey are you looking to buy?
I ask as I have only had the Launchkey Mini, which although customisable, was quite limited in what could be adjusted versus the Launchpad Pro I now use. For instance, the Launchkey Mini didn’t have MIDI channel per pad, per knob etc - could be different for the one you’re looking at.
Only our most recent, Launchkey [Mk3] range feature the ability to be customised using Components. As @yokermoon has pointed out, customisation features differs between ranges and products but you can take a look at the customisation options available by selecting a product and then ‘Create Custom Mode’ - https://components.novationmusic.com
