This is something I’ve wondered myself. If you were taking a photo of Nosferatu with an SLR camera, you presumably wouldn’t see him in the viewfinder, but I’m not sure he’d disappear from the resulting photo once the mirror is removed from the equation. His image is passing through a lens, but as far as I’m aware you can see vampires through windows (as per the original image), so passing through glass presumably isn’t a problem.
My best guess is that framing a vampire in a photo might be tricky with certain camera designs, but they’d still appear in the end result, though possibly a bit out of focus or with half their head cropped off.
