You don’t always need to switch the Local Control on and off, when you use a MIDI processing device (or a combination of splitters, filters and mergers). You just need to split the CC messages from the Note messages and send the CC messages back to the ND3

Playing the ND3 engine via its global channels will play each sound via its defined note number and ONLY this note. When you play one single sound via its own channel (1-6 in your case) then it plays every note you’re sending from your sequencer (monophonic).
