Noisy Digitone

I recently upgraded to an A&H SQ5 mixer and this has only emphasised the hum/noise from my Digitone. It’s probably the worst out of all my synths. I’ve tried various cables and moving the power plug around. But I’m thinking I might need to buy a DI box. I’ve heard that passive are best for synths(?) But anyhow, for economic reasons I’m looking at the Behringer DI 800. Link As I could also deal with my slightly noisy Roland SPD 30, and a few more! Has anyone used the Behringer DI 800? Or what other cheaper solutions would you suggest? Cheers.

Are you using balanced cables?

I’ve tried both. Both were noisy. I may possibly send it to my SQ5 stereo line ins as that should be quieter. But I was wondering about the Behringer DI 800, as I’ve heard good things about it.

Yes, the same here. Just wanted to search for a similar topic.
My Volume Knob on the Digitone creates noise when turning, is that the same for you?
But above all, it also comes from the external inputs.
I turned it down to about 30 to reduce that. This also happens with different cables.
When the sound is off, an irregular noise comes through the monitors, almost a crackle.

Yeah i would also say keep an eye on the external input volume. It gets very noisy over 50%
