Hi Elektronauts, I was trying to set up external clock for M:C from different other devices without success. I’m don’t know if there is some voodoo magic I missed, but I don’t think so. I have the latest firmware, all settings are correct, tried factory reset. I was able to send midi clock to M:C via USB.
To me it seems as a hardware issue and my question is, does anyone has any idea what could be wrong or had similar issue? I already checked soldering on the jack connectors but everything looks fine. Thank you.
Have you checked the midi settings?
If USB works and not MIDI in, could be MIDI ports.
If you ruled this out, try a different MIDI cable or adapter.
Hi @LyingDalai, thank you for your quick reply.
According the manual for receive midi clock, only Clk In needs to be On, which has set. I did try different devices with different cables already, including gear-to-gear via DIN calbles (I tried a few) and laptop-to-gear via USB-midi cable.
Are you sure your din → mini jack cable is meant for midi ? There are audio cables (sometimes mis-sold as midi) that are wired differently.
Hi @bibenu, first I tried a generic MIDI-TRS (Type A) cable then when it didn’t work I bought the CA-3 adapter from Elektron directly.
