New Waldorf Hardware Coming - Protein

I just received this in an email from Waldorf. Should be interesting. Any guesses as to what it may be?

Edit: Here it is.

Something new is brewing at Waldorf… and for the first time, we’re excited to announce it in a special event. Join us for the very first Synthsgiving in Berlin!
On Thursday, 27 November, at 8 p.m. CET in Berlin, we’ll introduce a brand-new hardware. There’s not much more we can reveal yet , but as part of our community, we’d love for you to be among the first to experience it.
‍The evening will include an introduction to the hardware and a live performance from a Berlin-based artist (surprise, surprise). First drink on us!

8 Voice Wavetable synth.

Will it be an affordable Synth?

I suspect not.

Actually it would be quite nice if they called this one “Hardware”. I think at this point maybe we have had enough of this Vibranium, Palladium, Tellurium, Photonium, Manifolds etc poetics? Either way, supercool and looking forward, just keeping fingers crossed for more relaxed designations :sloth: We’ll know in five days time!

Drum machine, please!

I am betting on a module like Core or something similar, so yes, relatively affordable (once you’ve sold your kidney)

Hopefully an affordable Blofeld 2 with improved controls but the same engine. (of course with fixed bugs!)

I mean, you only really need one, right?

that’s right, or something like Blofeld 2, haven’t thought about it but makes sense!

Yes you only need one, but I already sold the first one during last month’s GAS attack

I want a true multitimbral update on Blofeld/Microwave that can match the Virus 16 part multi-timbral features. Love Waldorf sounds but cannot see buying one unless they up their game. A Waldorf drum machine would be fun as well.

Whatever it is, better than 50/50 chance it will have a name lifted from a James Bond movie.

Also the first few iterations of the firmware will be shaky and for the cognoscenti only.

Then when the firmware is finally stable, it will become an expensive classic. And I’ll probably buy it, eventually.

Either that or something else entirely and a weird left field thing.

Big Waldorf fan here (I love my Iridium Desktop, it’s incredible), but they can be… eccentric.

I’ve been a Waldorf lurker for a few years now, maybe this’ll tip me over the edge.

I am hoping for Moneypenny then. I really am

Octopussy.

It’s a mashup between an Octatrack and a Waldorf M.

Called it. Got to be. Right?
