Hi all, I bought a midi cable recently to connect my db-01 to my circuit rhythm (have been using the external sync which has been good but am willing to sacrifice db-01 sequencer to get more convenient pattern switching).
When set to keyboard mode I can get the circuit to send the db-01 just fine but when I leave keyboard mode it cuts out. Any help at all would be appreciated, not sure if I have settings wrong on either device.

Hmm-bit strange. So assuming you have taken the midi out from the circuit into the midi in on the baseline? Then selected a track on the rhythm and assigned that to the correct midi channel for the DB 01?
You’ll possibly need to go into the DB01 menu and tell it to receive midi transport and clock (if I recall the manual with the baseline is good so should help). After that it should work, then just choose a ‘empty’ sample slot on the rhythm on the correct channel (the channel you assigned the DB01 midi to) and you should be able to play and sequence that from the circuit.
Thanks for getting back to me, Seem to have it working all fine but signal drops off completely if I leave keyboard mode, any idea what might be?
No, that is very strange. So you are recording a sequence in ok but it’s not playing once you exit keyboard mode?? That doesn’t make much sense to me… maybe I am understanding it wrong.
Not got the DB 01 anymore but I’ve recorded a sequence from TD3 on the rhythm using keyboard mode and it’s recorded no probs.
Sorry not sure if i was clear enough before, when I leave keyboard mode on the db-01 the sound stops. Can sequence and playback just fine when the db-01 is set to keyboard but if I leave it to change the lfo for example, it stops

hmm-I don’t have a DB01 anymore and only used the internal sequencer when I did have it. I don’t understand why that would happen, and might be worth looking in the manual or Google looking at externally sequencing it.
That’s answers that then, you have to be in keyboard or arp mode to externally sequence it.
