I am in Dresden and I thought the same. Can anyone outside of Germany check?
We are all Germans.
lmao it is indeed in German - confirmed from outside of Deutschland
TE Achterbahn confirmed. 8 track Sampler with crossfader and no speed limits.
FTFY

Donāt get too excited; itās probably just a remote-control Grip Car 2.
Are you basing this on a hashtag or actual proof?
uh no, iām gonna go ahead and say itās not a grip car 2
grip car is the product of a designer friend of theirs and it was released on TEās site without hype or fanfare, I donāt think theyād need a blackfin processor for a remote control car, nor could I ever image them creating any sort of hype campaign for it. I canāt image them using the OP moniker for a grip car, nor does it make any sense with the āemerging from the darknessā messaging of the campaign.
Iām almost 100% confident that itās not a remote controlled grip car lol
Mods can give me a lifetime ban if it turns out to be a remote controlled grip carā¦
I mean, check out the OP XY thread where thereās images of a board with a raspberry pi on it.
There could be a Grip Car 2 but I doubt the thing they are teasing is a Grip Car 2. It makes no sense given the naming conventions and the fact that the FCC file was for a device called the OP XY not a Grip Car.
Sounds to me like Jasper is trolling everyone, fully aware of the internet reaction to grip car 1.
Itās a Ā£599 torch
Great for coming out of darkness
Definitely just trolling āJesper and co are well aware of convos in this forum and are having a good ole time of it
now theyāre scrambling to release a remote control grip car 2 so I can receive my lifetime ban
I mean, it doesnāt make sense to tease as much as they are for a device like a Grip Car.
Apart from the KO2 they have never really been known to tease anything, which might just be their new strategy. But they definitely wouldnāt be teasing a remote control car.
They also have VERY clear branding on which devices fit into which product category. OP-1, OP-Z, OP-1 Field are all Operator devices that act as flagship groove box synthesizers. The PO lineup are pocket operators which are small, affordable music making devices. OD and OB are speakers. Theyāve been consistent with their labeling for nearly 15 years now, it would be weird to suddenly switch that.
If something is called an OP-XY it surely fits into the Operator lineup. My guess is itās the thing that will replace the OP-Z.
lol grip car
Itās possible that the device is similar to the OP series and can control a remote control carāhence the X and Yāha ha. If itās not a replacement for the OP-Z, I hope they restock the line module. I have a second OP-Z but canāt purchase a line module for it.
anything is possible
Hi all - after reading a lot of your great inputs on TE gear Iām jumping into submitting my first post here. Pls forgive me if I ask for something that already have been discussed before.
Since I am suffering from a hard GAS on TE gear, I have set up a no-no-rule about buying new stuff. I make myself watch ALL of the videos on the OP-XY on YT and am attending every one of SonWuās awesome live streams, while not buying the product. It is a true struggle.
Nevertheless I have one āhall passā set up: As a singer with an unhealthy taste for tech, my highest wish is for TE to launch a EP-series version of the PO-35 Speak. I personally think that a synth-based drum sequencer with innovative voice manipulation features would sit nicely in the market (and in my TE setup).
I got tickets for SuperBooth25 and have had the same dream for several weeks now: TE releases EP-135 Speak II in Berlin this May. If this happens, my āno buyā-rule is off.
So my Q for you wise people is this: How likely is this scenario?
imho highly likely, next device in the EP series will be either synth or drum machine. And TE said sometime somewhere that this format will have more devices (thou medieval version of KO wasnāt out then yet).
