Looks cool. Closer to the discontinued collab they did, the Restyler, hence the name Ministyler.
Would be cool little ecosystem, but have a FB2 and many other pieces that cover the additional modules.

The Restyler and Filterbank actually sound quite different. The Filterbank is pure filth while the Restyler is bitey and aggressive - a more focussed tool!

Yes, you can have Tom build you out his 100 series box. I went with the orange line level preamp . It sounds like the vintage API Capi boxes, then I went with the 3 band EQ. Even if I’m not using the Restyler I can track just with those two modules. You can boost or cut with the EQ and 1dB either direction makes a difference.
Then when you want to add more ambience you can use the Ministyler filters for LPF or HPF functionality.
If you want to go wilder then there’s drive and the resonance knob. The resonance knob has more give before heading into screaming filterbank territory

do you have this on the master out, or you treat it as an insert? Really tempting package - how much did this cost you in total?

Master out. I think at the time when it first released it was 1600 after taxes and customs fees. 1600 is not bad considering an Elysia Karacter box goes for about the same price.

And how do you monitor? I’ll need probably extra headphone amp, as I don’t have monitors
I use my audio interface to monitor. I don’t monitor in live I just capture it.
Use case 1: if I am going to filter out a sample I run my iPad through a dragonfly interface into the Restyler and I filter out takes .
Use case 2: Preamp and track with EQ to correct my recording. Play live and track into the preamp and EQ modules into Ableton.
I got one on Saturday (yesterday) - plugged it in and started screwing around with it. It’s very good.
