New MnM OS?

Do you guys think there will be a new OS for the MnM? I would like to see the sequencer options from the newer models added to the MnM. I just bought a brand new MnM and want this to be a good investment. But from reading the forum I fear no new OS updates will come to the MnM.

Hi! I hope Elektron is working on it…I’m a new MnM buyer, and I hope my new synth will be supported as it deserves

…mmm…unless the HQ comes up with an adapter of some, sort i don’t think this will happen, there’s no USB connection on the MM so i can’t really see it coming

I seem to remember that HQ stated somewhere that the MnM dsp was at max capacity, so probably only bug fixes or streamlined functionality, no added stuff.

Added editor/filemanagement functionality to Overbridge for non-audio matters still is high up on my wishlist and should def be possible. Integrate Octa filemanager, parameter automation, Digipro manager, general editor plugins… etc

No. It’s theoretically possible, but I doubt that we will ever see anything other than fixes for any easy-to-squash critical bugs (of which there are likely none).

Surely electron could change the sample time for each dig pro wave to 5 seconds each wave
That would be it for me, the mono would rule the synth world

Or at least allow us to upload our own user 12 bit BBOX

And that also - new beat box sample, yah!!
We are really uploading our own samples. So why not provide some flexibility here

^ this, together with the DigiPro, would make it one the best digital synths out there!

Yeah, with the “confirm pattern clear” alert.
Yesterday i lost by mistake a pattern and tried too much later the undo pattern clear.
Monomachine is so unique that’s almost impossible re-create 1:1 patterns if you don’t write on paper each parameter value.

By the way, from my point of view, there are more chanches of an MK3 than a MK2 OS update. (Just speculations)
The MNM with latest machines sequencer features and some OS enhancements would be killer.

Got RYTM and A4, but MNM stands apart.
And shines.
Would not imagine “enhanced”.

I can accept the Monomachine as is except for one little thing…

The mostly fixed, linear assignment of channels is a giant headache. I can understand in part why it needs to be that way with the internal engine, but I wish there was a way to at least turn off/reorder the multimap/autochannel options without changing the other channels around. When using the Mono with an external keyboard and something like the Octatrack + other modules, it’s kind of frustrating not having enough routing flexibility to allow opening up or changing some of these channels. The inevitable workaround is to buy some sort of midi filter device, but it is strange how the MNM is set up like this, considering how flexible the MD and OT are for channel assignments. Give me a way to turn off channels 7 and 8, or assign the autochannel to them and free up channel 9, etc, and I’ll be happy.

I dunno…it isn’t a bug fix, but would that be so resource intensive of an update that it could not be implemented?

I’d be happy if all the blank parameters on the machines were used.

For instance, the reverb machine has one blank parameter, why not a predelay?

Its nice to speculate what could be added but I’d rather a whole new machine instead of adding to an already loaded OS.

Pretty much found a great way to add sampling to the mono - run sampler on the iPad and into a thru machine
Sampler is amazing !!!
