It’s really cheap. Considering the amount of samples you get, plus the software. Monark, massive, prism. All great

This is going to seriously piss off the Maschine crowd over on NIs forums!

Why?

They are forever moaning about the software side of things. Some of it quite justified to be fair. Can be frustrating when you perceive issues with software but they keep churning out hardware revisions.

Think what happened round here over Overbridge and multiply by 1000

Oh yea it’s a WWF 1980s cage match out there. I’m glad I listened to the positive reviews here when I bought maschine. If I was a new buyer and saw that forum I would be running for the hills.

If the Mikro had an interface built in I’d be in the preorder straight away. Really unrealistic at that price point mind you! Quite tempted though. I still flip between Ableton and Maschine. Having those Maschine pads in that form factor for drumming in Live is quite appealing. Would mean I could ditch the bulkier mk1. And it makes a lot of sense when paired with the MK2 keyboards (as does their A series keyboards with a MK3 Maschine).

Hopefully they run a black Friday/Christmas upgrade sale on komplete too. More likely Easter though. I can wait!

I need to try those pads out in person. This would be a good space saver on my desk so I can grab the nord drum 2 or machinedrum as a module that the maschine mikro 3 plays.

Anyone know if the pads on the mikro are the same size or smaller than maschine?

Looks nice. Still on mk1 here tho lol.

Same size you just don’t get an audio editing screen. If you’re a finger drummer that may not be a deal breaker

Was considering maschine as alt pads for ARmkll, just cuz they are too stiff for my taste…but the sound is unstoppable. The price of the mikro is sweet, and would be a space saver as well!

Thanks

I had maschine 1. The pads were deluxe. Build is nice!

This is really awesome. I own a Mk3 and those pads really are amazing!

Looks like they’re dropping new cheap Kontrol keyboards as well, which is cool.

Unfortunately it’s the opposite of what I want, which is less cool. I wonder if the cheap keys will pair well with the mk3 Maschine or Vice Versa.

And I wish they’d just release the knob control/screens from the Komplete mk2s as I don’t want the keys I just want a small footprint intuitive way to adjust parameters.

Yeah it looks supercool. Machine pads are awesome. Small stylish unit.
But then I think back when I owned the micro mk2 and it always was a pita. Too few controls for me. For me, getting away from the screen and mouse is the main purpose of controllers like that. But that’s just me

Boring you need a laptop!

If it did had a midi out, I would have considered to get it just as a controller. NI pads are amazing. But that screen is a joke lol.
