I got my first Elektron box in February 2024 and I am hooked.
I now primarily use the DT2 and DN2 and occasionally sequence other digital synths with the DN2.
I have been saving in the background to treat myself to a new product one day.
I am reluctant to get an Octatrack or Tonverk as I like the simplicity of the DT as a one shot drum machine and the workflow I have moved towards involves creating sounds with the DN2.
It seems like something I would enjoy and be able to justify purchasing would be the A4 MK2.
I’m just wondering what other people’s opinions are on the likelihood of a future synth with some of the upgraded features of the new digi boxes? Or something with the new Tonverk footprint?
I’m in no rush to buy something anyway and feel like waiting would be good for me and help me get better with the tools I have.
I see a lot of topics where people ask if it’s worth buying the A4 in 2025 etc. And I understand the sentiment, but also feel like if you want something then just buy it if you can afford it.
Where I differ is that I don’t need anything right now to make music that I enjoy.
I ultimately love the Elektron sequencers and workflow and prefer synthesis over samples.
Is anyone else holding out for a new synth?
If you look back at pre Tonverk speculation, a lot of people were wanting something with synthesis and samples in once package.
