A couple of weeks ago, I released my latest album on the dark ambient label, Cryo Chamber.
“Majak” is a dark ambient album made almost exclusively with Elektron gear – MD, Octatrack and Analog 4. And a ton of outboard FX, of course.
It is themed around a nuclear disaster in the southern Ural region in Russia, that meant some 40 villages had to be evacuated. Of course, I had a notion this might get some special attention on the scene in Russia, but… It’s made the regular news locally! So a number of news sites in the southern Ural area has run the story about the album. I mean, I’m a newcomer with about a 100 followers on Soundcloud. The attention is sort of fascinating.
I really love working with Elektron gear, something about the interface just clicks with me. This album would not have been possible without my Elektron gear.
