Neighbour Machine for the Master Track?

Hello!

It isn’t possible to have a Neighbour Machine for the master track (track 8), right? As they always listen to the preceding track? Just want to make sure.

Would be cool to have more than two effects for the master track. Right now I have a DJ Mixer-effect and a Delay (to be able to do the cool freeze delay thing. But I would love to be able to have, for instance, a filter, too. Mainly for Scene-purposes.)

Thank you!

Nope…it is not possible

Okay, thank you!

My biggest feature wish request fo sho. I’d def love to sacrifice a track just so i could have 4 effect blocks on the Master.
Would want DJ EQ, Compressor, Filter and Delay. Would be sweet

i guess you can run every track (exept 7 and 8) to the cue output
then to the input AB , use track 7 to process input ab and use 8 as neighbor to
ad two other effet to track 7

Whoa thanks for that suggestion. The OT is so deep sometimes i cant comprehend routings like that

Right, was just going to say.

And by extension: make track 5 the CUE loopback and line 3 neighbors up after that. 8X serial master FXzzzz. Independently sequencable/LFOable. Will rip your mind.

Great tips guys, I can’t wait to try these out!

Is it now possible to have a master track in order to have 4 effects, like reverb, delay, lo fi and filter?

You can resample the track 8 on a flex for instance and add 2 new FX.

No.
Unless you resample. Which technically isnt 4 effects.

So if U sacrifice a track to use as neighbor track I can t have 2 more effects for the initial track?

Yes you can. But you cant have a neighbour after a master track.

Your original question was relating to master track.

Thanks!!

Why? Audio wise it adds 2 fx. A recorder and a Flex can be used as a Neighbor track, it has even more fx possibilities with available Playback / AMP parameters, feedback possible.

Main problem : feedback! If you resample and play MAIN (or T8). If you use a modulation and a delay with DIR off it works.

Clicks can occur, possible to use AMP settings to eliminate them.

So it has limitations, but it’s usable.

I made a test, you can mimick a Master track with CUE recording and add it up to 3 Neighbors.

CUE can be used as fx send, but it can be 100% wet if you don’t send tracks to Main.
A recorder can be an fx return, sent to Neighbor, sent to Main…

So @shinobi it is possible, but fx order is limited. Delay and Reverb are always in FX2*.

Cue Recorder : Fx1 Filter Fx2 Delay
Neighbor : Fx1 Lofi Fx2 Reverb

Btw I’d rather use Compressor than Lofi on"Master", and use Lofi on individual tracks…

*There’s a hack to use Reverb in slot 1.
