Hello
I have a problem with the song mode synchronization between the two a4mk2 machines and the RytmMk2
For example when I write several lines in song mode:
A01 A02 A01 A02 on the rhythm and the same on the other I press play the reading starts normally but when I press pause on the master and I restart the reading there is one which starts at the beginning (l 'slave) and the other (the master) no… it annoys me a little because each time I have to listen to the whole song mode again…
on the other hand when I navigate on the master in song mode it moves to the same place on the slave when I press yes on the master it chooses the same pattern on the slave I don’t know if you understood but when I press play the slave starts from zero…
Thanks again for the help provided.
Really ? nobody can help me ?
I don’t use song mode really so my response might be out of touch, but
do you setup the song mode on both devices?
have you tried using only one for song mode sending the pattern change while other only accepting it?
Hi.
I have the same problem.
Analog Rythm 2 is the Master and Analog Four 2 the slave.
Both are in song mode.
When moving the cursor and press select they are both in sync.
But when I start the Rythm (master) on a specific position in between the A4 (slave) starts from the beginning.
Is there a way to start both from any position?
I found the solution for this issue.
Everything works fine as long as pause (play) is pressed and then play again.
Both machines start at the same position in the arranger.
But if you press stop on one machine, the other(s) jump back to the beginning.
Its a pity, that that simple information isnt im any manual.
Well done for finding a solution and thanks for sharing.
I think most of us avoid setting ip an arrangement on both devices. I tried it with Rytm and OT a while back and found it really hard to work with. These days I have them sync’d by clock and programme change (for pattern changes), and only one of them has an arrangement (if I use it at all).
You can use midi mapping in a4 (pattern can be mapped to midi note). One of the rytn tracks sends this note to a4 when pattern starts. Read a4 manual for more information or watch loopop video
