Need explanation on Scenes

I’ve read the manual a 100x trying to figure this out:

I select Track 5 (BT) I then hit scene [funct + pad 5] I see the scene screen I begin to edit the values… while playing the beat…

when I get to where I want, I leave the screen and go back to normal mode… the value changes are still there with the scene unpressed and out of scene mode. I’m unsure why this is doing this and I feel I am absolutely sure it is my own fault as I have seen and heard from other videos (and preset parameters) doing what was intended(programmed).

You need to hold down the ‘scene’ button for a second or so to activate scene edit mode. When you do this the left side of the LCD will display the scene being edited and the number of locks.

I’m not sure if this applies when going into quick scene edit (function + pad).

thanks figured it out and yes the button needs to be pressed while editing values.
