NAMM 2024 -- (January 25 - 28)

How big is it actually? I have trouble visualising the size and can’t really find any measurements on korg

I took a deep breath when I first saw these, but now am back to zero regrets on building out a fully expanded MOTU 828 system.

Not sure if it was posted yet, but a new version of Zoom’s multistomp reverb/delay/modulation pedal coming later this year with seemingly new algorithms.

Also, not actually something I could ever afford, but this thing sounded so good.

I saw the guitar amp / distortion pedals mentioned somewhere, but hadn’t seen that there’s an MS-70CDR + in the works; nice.

Yeah really nice to see the new MS-70 CDR in the works, but I also hope they could add midi input for at least clock sync, but presets change would also be immensely useful (and CC control over parameters would be perfection). I’m sure guitarists don’t care and are fine with that tap tempo, but for synth setups this is IMO essential feature (and only reason I don’t own the current model).

More presets than 50 would be nice too; there is some control via sysex already, but CC would be great.

Agreed. Although if they incorporated the kind of onboard fx platform that we find in the NTS, it could be pretty interesting. Probably a stretch though.

Oh. That’s probably the first rip-off from big B I might be interested in. Although… it’s fairly easy to synthesize CR-78.

Edit: Found this - Single voice outs!

Thats awesome thanks!!

Pretty underwhelming showing :grimacing:

Nah…I think there have been some really cool offerings.

The korgs various releases/announcements show some promise.

And those new Zoom field recorders look amazing as heck.

I’m split between wanting the H1 or H6. They look so sleek and futuristic in aesthetic alone that I just really want to play around with them.

Nothing really knocked my socks off this year, but what I saw did impress me!

Those Stradi basses are indeed works of art. I’m the very fortunate owner of a ultra-short-scale Stradi Symphonette and it sounds as beautiful as it looks.

I wonder if my lack of omg for this namm is another sign that I might be going daw after all.

Can’t be killing that GAS in the GAS inducing thread. Probably flagged by korg

They’re all GAS-inducing threads. Even the fight-GAS ones.

Oh an update the to MS-70 CDR would certainly be of interest to a lot of people here.

I honestly think Zoom are missing a trick, not releasing a synth/DAW-less focused multi-effects box, the MS-70 has been so popular among non-guitarists. It’s probably just my personal aversion to the pedal form factor but I’d definitely go for it

I’ve had it coming for a long time.

ESPECIALLY the fight gas threads :joy:
”wow i literally just realized my <synth i don’t own> can be used like <technique i’ve never tried> to sound like <other synth i don’t own>, GAS averted ”

Every one else in the thread googles new and used prices for said synth :joy:

Back on topic; Korg killed it with their releases this year, talk about hi-jacking the show. Can’t wait for my NTS-3 to start shipping, i’m reading up on Logue SDK as we speak
