My Synthwave project: Velvet System 82

I wanted to make Synthwave for a while, but I just recently started. The first thing I did was to use the NewRetroWave name generator, but it turns out Velvet System was the name of a Klaus Schulze song so I added the 82 haha.

I jammed with my Digitakt and Digitone, but in the end I went completely ITB for this first song. I used Ableton Live Lite as the DAW, the synths are all Tal-Uno-LX and the drums are the stock 707 samples from Ableton Live Lite.

Feedback to improve the mixing is appreciated.

I improved the mixing for the song above ^^^ (I replaced the file, so you can’t compare against the previous).

I also made a new song with a similar setup to the previous but using drums from the California Drums sample pack.

I’ve published a new song, the setup didn’t change too much except that this time I used drums from Elektron’s Vintage Drum Machines sample pack.
