My stupid animations

I’ve got back to doing stupid animation loops lately .
Here’s a few of them.

Well done! I love animation and have done a little myself. But only a little - it takes so long!

Robot dancing was probably an hour or two , I like the wobbly jittery style , like cartoon called rhubarb from 70’s / 80’s uk tv.

Many more on my Instagram feed.

Rhubarb was great. Had a really trashy fuzzed out theme tune as I recall. Nice animations.

Ever post stuff on Loop de Loop?

never heard of it until now , I’ll have a look tomorrow.

so far my stupid animations are only on my instagram feed , looking at Vero too (its the new non algorithm instagram type thing though its a bit buggy right now).

The recent adobe character animator enables you to do that type of movement and mouth stuff in real time by tracking eyes / head movement via camera , would be good for south park style stuff.

I’m trying to keep things stupid and simple at the moment. I did a lot of game animation years ago ( sprites stuff for c64,Amiga,etc etc games) , and live things like gumball which is very inventive .

I plan to jump into vector animation soon , right now it’s just hand done loops
I’ll post another dancing robot later today ,
Need to figure out if I should use harmony , illustrator , after fx , tv paint and the other ones.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Ours were kind of basic as we had no experience of animation so we kind of jumped in and gave it a go having read a few tutorials.

It was fun and a good family bonding experience :+1:

Love those and style of the drawings. Top work dude

Big fan of Harmony here. I’ve been using it for years. It’s really deep, so the learning curve is quite steep. Maybe even ‘Octatrack steep’! Still, it’s well worth putting the time and effort in.

I’ve used softimage , 3dsMax , maya , unreal , fcurves , timeline stuff which might help.

I saw a hosepipe plugin 4 adobe thing that looked interesting , but to know something well takes a long time.

Today’s thing.

12 frame loop put into LumaFusion for some very basic playback fx.
