My new band - GuttingKindness

Got our first gig tomorrow night at Nottingham open mic, so time to make some music public.

This project started in March 2020 but got fucked off by the plague for a few years. Restarted about this time last year and has been a good laugh.

There’s two of us, me doing all the music and my guy James doing all the vocals, it’s 99% Ableton based. The whole idea is kind of trying to bridge the gaps between extreme metal, noise, electronics and hip-hop.

Album should be out soon, it was originally planned for Easter, but my house keeps trying to fall down.

The two tracks on our bandcamp are not quite finished, hence calling them demos, but they’re about 90% there.

More will follow in time.

Presuming Keith films it, yes.

Wow that’s some good shit! I hope you smash it :muscle:

Last time I was at open mic it had some guys that looked like cider-addled Mumford & Sons in their 60’s and I’m imagining them sat on them wooden drum boxes with their jaws wide open re-thinking their musical direction :loud_sound:🫪 Rest of the crowd equally stunned but buzzin off it :loud_sound::ok_hand:

Deffo get some footage but either way that’s some fresh, heavy sound with great lyrics/frontman biznizz :facepunch:

Cheers.

We’re going for a sort of so many genres at once it sounds unique kind of a thing.

You summed up so much of my musical output in so few words O_o I can’t tell whether I should feel vindicated or embarrassed, probably both.

Congrats on the big milestone! I love how the tracks draw and mix well-identified genres but at the same time bear the distinctive mark of your sound palette and energy.

Can’t help but feel I’d have got here much sooner if I’d had this kind of encouragement when I was a kid.

Cheers.

I’ve always said, if you can’t be good, be distinctive.

Thanks.

Go kill it.

Very cool, Fright makes me think of a noiser shabazz palace :ok_hand: and yes as orangeDrink said the ending sound is awesome, dreamy and meditative dare I say.
Following your bandcamp, and looking forward the full album. Cheers

Was going for a sort of My Bloody Valentine thing. I can see now why Loveless was such an arsehole to make, getting that sound right is hard.

Thanks for listening.
