My new acid house album — Barking Cat

Dear Elektronauts,

I’m happy to release today my first album under my new moniker Barking Cat.

It’s a chunk of the acid house I’ve been making theses last three years.

Some tracks come from a time when I was working OTB (MODOR DR-2, Model Cycles, Novation Peak, various 303 clones…), and a lot from after I sold everything and went ITB (Arturia Acid, Prophet and Juno, Valhalla reverb and Soundtoys Echoboy Jr).

Selling all my gear was a blessing. I’m glad I don’t spend so much time troubleshooting, pluging cables, watching synthfluencers YT videos and buying stuff anymore, and actually spend time making music. There’s a few people on this forum who seem to enjoy having a lot of gear AND actually do make a lot of very good music, but for me it was just blocking me from making anything.
Well, anyway, I’m glad I finally finish and release something — last time I released was in spring 2022, four years ago…!

I like feedbacks — good or bad ! So don’t hold back.

I like it! You have a nice balance between the OG rave-era sampler-based style of house/hardcore and the acid. Gets me nostalgic for some of my youthful M25 orbital motorway (Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire/Essex/Kent) and north-London irregular party* excursions…

Keep up the good work!

Edit:
*Damn! They’re still doing it here apparently!
