This is great! I get great stuff out of the Rytm at around 140 BPM.

I took a break for a year and a half, and have started making again in the past three months, but these are from when it was all about 140-160 for me.

A good mate who loves producing gave me a review which was like he jumped into my head, read my thoughts and motivation behind my sound choices, and repeated them back to me.
Although I don’t know about Cocktail Part and I’ve never heard of Filter Dread tbh.

Right, just been listening on my headphones… some quick thoughts:

Loving your gun fingers!!! Some super sharp shooters shooting super sharp shots! YES! Also you’ve got mad staccato robotic dance skills. Like :+1:

Really like the intro sounds - reminds me of birds tweeting, good reverb.

When the beat kicks in at 0:40! Deadly. I REALLY like how that just drops in. GUNFINGERS!!! :point_up::point_up::fire::fire:

Then goes a little abstract, initially I was feeling that I was missing some structure to it, but actually it works - keeping you a bit off guard, so when that bass comes in at about 2:50 it locks you back in. I like that little DJ sample.
I really like that filtered synth at 5:00! Love that sound. You’ve got some pure rave sounds going on! :orange_heart: I like that melody that comes in at 5:30. And then that b-line and beat kicks in again :fire::fire::fire::fire::heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes:
I think my fave bass line is the one that comes in about 10:10. That is pure rave. Sounds really good detuned :ok_hand:
Also the hits at about 13:10 sound very fresh - reminds me of the Shattered Retina EP by Cocktail Party Effect, that came out recently on Tectonic. The whole thing had a kinda Filter Dread vibe - but done in your own unique and creative way.

Overall I reckon that with all your ideas, it could be edited into maybe 3 or 4 separate tracks to make a wicked EP, part of me would love to hear your ideas developed into more structured tracks (thinking purely as a DJ), BUT maybe that would lose part of what makes it yours - your free-flowing creativity. It feels spontaneous. Fresh. Unpredictable. It feels like a mini DJ set - It plays with expectations, teasing with almost familiar rave stabs, before spinning away. Love your energy in this.
