Hi,
Somethings not right with my Analog Four. I do not get clean oscillators when the filters are set to not change any of the sound. The output sounds and looks distorted compared to any other synth.
The sound from the A4 is created by the Clear Track Sound, both filters are open, no resonance, no overdrive and LP1 mode. No post-effects or anything outside of the A4. All preset sounds distorted as well…
It has always been like this… Is my A4 OK?
Regards,
Jostein
Yeah dude, it’s not meant to sound like that. Better contact customer support
Running my A4 with your settings with saw and triangle waveforms I’m not getting the same result.
To mimic what you’re getting I had to set the F1 overdrive to +24. Could of course be something else in the signal path that adds that “overdrive”.
There’s some more trippy stuff when comparing the 4 tracks. They do not sound the same when they’ve all been reset. Track 2 gets some delay, even when delay is set to be zero. Track 4 gets some noise, even when noise is zero from osc1 page 2.
there is a current bug with A4 not clearing a page of OSC1 properly, by comparison to Track Clear (it seems to play havoc with tracking) it has been fixed for next release, doesn’t quite sound like that though, but check the usual suspects like performance page and disconnect all other midi apparatus for the test
ps Track+Clear is quicker than menu diving, strikes me you need to clear the kit - check perf page
Yep I’m with Avantronica, my first port of call would be Performance Macros!
Track Clear won’t wipe these as they’re designed to override basic settings!
If that doesn’t sort it I’d save everything then perform an Empty Reset followed by a Factory Reset if that’s unsuccessful. (Power on holding the Funtion button to access menu).
