Mute track and corresponding cue output

I’m using the OT cue output as a send output to an external FX unit. Let’s say Track T1 has cue output enabled so that the signal is sent to the fx.
If I want to mute it I always have to mute the track and uncue it.

Is there a possibility to mute the track and the corresponding cue output in one step?

Yes, just use studio mode.

When I do funky stuff with my octatrack, and my kaosspad3.
Yes: I have to mute the entire track.
Yes: I have to send it to cue
Yes: the tracklevel-knob doesn’t work anymore

so the only option you got left is tying the VOL or XVOL parameter to a scene… that way you can mute the track with the fader, and make it send stuff to the cue…

realworld example:

I got bass on track1… I got drums on track2.
SceneA01 = track1 xvol=min track2 xvol=max
sceneB08 = track1 xvol=max track2 xvol=min

route your fx machine back to track5 or something with a thru machine.

now if you put fader to left you hear bassline through your effectunit
put fader to the right, and you hear the drums through your effectunit.

here an example of what I do: in this example track 1 to 4 go to the kaosspad and return on track5 … funny enough… I even do realtime recording tricks on track1 to 4 BEFORE they go to the kaosspad… and I do realtime recordingtracks AFTER it comes back into the octatrack.
that’s a whole lot of possibilities to glitch around… its really funny

Thanks I just tested it and it works great :slight_smile:
