Mute Modes

I cancelled a gig on Saturday 'cos all of a sudden in GLOBAL MUTE mode (GREEN) went all strange: TRIG 1 button is RED, the other TRIG buttons are GREEN, as expected.
In normal PLAY MODE, TRIG 1 Slot now flickers PURPLE.

IN GLOBAL Mute Mode TRIG 1 is BLUE, TRIG 3 is RED, & the remaining TRIGS are PURPLE,

Also it affects the STEP SEQUENCE mode, the TRIGS are not all lit up when in PLAY, so I don’t know whether it is going to play or not.

I am aware of the different MUTE MODES, I never really use the PATTERN Mode, just GLOBAL mode for spontaneous mutes will performing.

This has infected all PROJECTS I have in the box.

The whole day trying to figure this out.

I am loathe to do some kind of resest, as I don’t wanna lose my work, and from what I gather there is no back-up facility with the Digitakt yet.

Any suggestions as to what I have inadvertently done?

It’s a know bug. The mutes tend to mess up when used a lot.

Thanks for taking a minute out Jefones.
The thing is, I barely use the muting, just on the fly, nothing programmed, so there shouldn’t be an issue regarding workload for the machine.
Grrrrrr!

I barely use the muting too, it’s happened to me a few times. No one has really pinned down the cause one the board here. But it seems the leds get confused when switching through states. Unfortunately there isn’t really a workaround and we are waiting for it to be fixed with an update. There’s a bit of discussion about it in the digitakt bug thread if you are interested in reading people experience regarding.

Okay, so I am not going mad in my own bubble. The Digi’ is not stable. There is a bug affecting the sensitivity of the buttons, eg tuning, it flickers making it difficult to pin down the desired exact decimal point. To the Bug Discussions page I will go then. Thanks again for taking the time out to help. PEace to you and yours.

the overly sensitive encoders and the encoders moving on their own may be a hardware issue and it is a good idea to contact support.

Overall the dt is rather stable but they need to squash a few bugs.

Dont expect the wandering encoders to get any better, its not a software problem and in my case effects many encoders so isnt just a single dodgy component. I would send it back as spending more time with it wont make you more enclined to be without and that blue light is not part of the standard mute colour problems, at least not that I have seen.

Cheers digimatt,
it’s gonna hurt having to send it back, sucks the big one to put it lightly, as does having it in the state it is in. Not impressed with the new and unwelcomed colour scheme. I’ve searched hi and lo for references to this issue. I’d say it’s gotten worse since yesterday, which may TRIGS not illuminating when I’ve recorded steps.
Waiting for a response to my Ticket request.
We’ll see.
