Musical creations / demos, please list here

Hi octatrackers

I would like to hear more musical productions, not jam sessions, but intelligent and musical compositions using the Octatrack.
Something beyond jamming. (which is nice, but ya know, it’s not that hard)
Also, I wanna hear acoustic stuff/sampled stuff — not turning the Octatrack into a pseudo machinedrum, or using it to play single cycle waveforms arpeggiated - I wanna hear it being used to it’s real potential… Musically, not nerdy… (again no offence intended, im loving the nerdy stuff too)

Any real musical craftmanship - kindly write here some links to listen/watch…?

I made an EP entirely on the OT: http://inkjetmusic.com/grandma-tapes

And most of my tracks in the weekly track series I’m doing this year are OT-centric: http://inkjetmusic.com/natural-athleticism

Hi,
No offense in what i’m going to say now.

I hear you when you say “no offence”, and i understand (i think) what you mean.
But the problem is that we may have different conception about what is a musical production.
I posted a lot of A4 and octatrack tracks on my youtube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/dakitanmonkey/videos), and i don’t consider them as jam session. Each track has been build, and i play it live.
Also, i don’t consider a finished track with an intro / break / solo, or whatever.
But again, it’s my conception of the music.
(i hope i use the word “consider” in the right way, i’m not a native english speaker).

I always made music the way i feel it better. And most of the time, my tracks don’t have classical buildings. Anyway, i don’t think so. I don’t question myself about that.

Well i stop talking now, i don’t want to troll.
I did write this, because i was going to give my track list in reponse to your post, but after reading it, i felt that it wasn’t fiting your requirements

Again no offense

So, my music don’t have “intros” and “breaks”… which most music don’t… mu stuff is very much in the EAM school… which, to some, equals strange, noise, “not music”…
but anyways… here mu latest… it all starts from one small sample, not even heard straight on the track… it heard as a part of a loop that gets sampled to other tracks… which gets looped and sampled… it is my attempt to use the octa as a modular synth

I do by no means consider myself a “musician”, but here are two releases I’ve made solely with the Octatrack, none of which contain any jams.

brilliant stuff!

Thanks guys, I guess what I mean is, as I said ‘musical’ productions.
I am well aware of that the word ‘musical’ has different meanings for different people,
but basically what it means to me is, musical in the sense of great melodies, great chord changes… Not experimental, not noisy, not loopy. Can have those things as elements, but in a great context of musical awareness. I’m not talking about classic buildups neither.
I just want to hear a finished track, preferably with vocals in it, or some kind of catchy themes.

Also I am just curious to hear some sampled material coming out of that octatrack that doesn’t sound electronic.

Anyway  I guess it’s hard to explain - get me out of the loop zone and then we’re talking…

You know what, I’ll be in Bali in my pad there this week and I’m just gonna do a ‘musical’ usage of the Octa and A4 and Minitaur - I’ll do ya a remix of some of my old tracks.

By the way I love all the stuff you are sharing, yeah the thing sounds damn good and Marshmellons thats really trippy stuff man

hey MDM… seen the our music section of the forum? this thread may be better placed there? you may even get more appropriate responses to your thread …

hope you found what you looked for (i am still waiting to find a cheapish second hand OT then I join the party)
