If you are letting an algorithm make music for you, you aren’t actually making music. It doesn’t matter if it’s code or random electronic impulses. Just because the sound source is analog doesn’t make it artistically meaningful. It’s just random noise. If you don’t care enough to make your own music, why should anyone care enough to listen?

In my hands, anyway. I know there’s whole genres where people use arpeggiators and stuff to create really good music but I can’t for the life of me get anything meaningful out of them myself.
