MPC Thread : MPC Live - MPC X - MPC One (Part 2)

Absolutely the same here (although I’m trying to wean myself off of checking the internet first thing in the morning).

Seriously, I appreciate this so much. Thank you. It’s humbling to know people other than me like my music.

And yeah, some of the really intricate sequencing on the One was an absolute pain, but I honestly loved every second of working on those songs (and it would be a pain on just about anything).

I fully agree. I don’t have social media. This is as close as I get and it’s so refreshing. I’m not even playing that much right now because I’m in burnout but it is so wonderful to still be able to read people’s stories and inquiries and know that when the spark comes back there’s a community that’s this supportive and kind.

Don’t you have a TC left from your metronome on the touch screen?

Isn’t the TC on/off on the Q-Links? And I think it gives you quick access to the swing, quantise strength, etc…
(I agree, I’d still like a dedicated on/off button, I use that all the time…)

If there is one thing I’d like, but on the One, it is being able to program the [-] and [+] under the jog wheel to hop between groups of the q-links when editing synths / effects.
Now waiting for someone to tell me I just missed it in the manual… :grimacing: :sweat_smile:

Damnit… using the mpc on and off for all these years, and I still managed to not understand how great the q-links are on the main screen.

Lately I’ve been blown away at how nice it is to be able to scrub with knob 2, in combo with the 2 play buttons. And I didn’t even think about the other 3 pages of q-link action. Having a knob for things like track, TC, and best of all SWING, is amazing :heavy_heart_exclamation:

Thanks for pointing that out!

Yes, you’re both correct. :slight_smile:

Just miss having a button dedicated for it tbh. No big deal though!

Just want to check, Track mutes need to be recorded via the record/overdub buttons and playing the mutes in as it plays. Not the Read/Write Automation button?

Is there anywhere to see these automations other than watching them flash yellow or red on the track mute page?

Check in the List Editor. You can change the parameters that it shows like Mutes.

First full MPC song I’ve published. Wanted to set the record straight about the modern MPC line while doing it.

Is it obvious that I love the MPC? :smiley:

New content creator in the scene! Watch out everyone! Sineway’s bringing the goods in video format now!!!

Nice melodic techno/trance tune. You guys really pushed the built in instruments! Gratulerer!

Tack! Many more tunes to come. :slight_smile: The built-in instruments are underrated - though I’m starting to GAS a bit over Jura. :rofl:

Appreciate it!

This is quite interesting, I just noticed this in another thread about live acid sets… so this French artist has older live sets on YT where he has a lot of gear in his rig;
Rytm
A4
Octatrack
303
Rev2
Minilogue
SH01a
…plus other bits.

Then there’s a more recent set where he’s consolidated his gear down to a really compact MPC rig;
MPC One
303
Analog Heat
FX on the MPC sends (Big Sky and something else)

EDIT: Looking at the overhead shot he’s running just the MPC into the Analog Heat and sending midi to the Roland 303 (TB3?) which is running through a Rat distortion then the Big Sky… I’d assume there’s a mixer out of shot where they’re then being summed together.
Cool setup though, and I like seeing how he’s playing the MPC’s mutes throughout his set.
