I tore my hair out for weeks over how to sample my guitar in my MPC One for less than 50€. And then I bought a Vox Ampli AP2-CL AmPlug V2 Clean (36€). It works very well and I think that this is the cheapest way to proceed.
Guitar -> AmPlug V2 Clean | AmPlug’s headphones -> MPC One inputs
Can also add FX pedals in the path for reverbs. Just waiting for a good reverb plugin/adding in MPCs to remove the reverb pedal.

I know this is a MPC thread but I appreciate your feedback. I was offered a Push 2 but at the same time I could with bit more nab a MPC one. Now I have expansions and instruments I bought year or so back and I do use Ableton as my main DAW. However, the idea of Push is attractive even it wasn’t for the huge footprint, and the rubber material it uses but also it’s not standalone. MPC is standalone, and can be used I think in conjunction but not as tightly in Ableton with the software. Plus another reason is in Ableton I have my synths I use, but then I was thinking autosample those synths I use on MPC.
BTW I do have OT and Deluge.

I’m talking Push 2 not 3 mate.
I’m an MPC fan but I always say to stick with what makes you more productive. If you haven’t hit any wall with Live, get the Push. If you fancy a change, get the MPC. But think of it as a different, standalone instrument for now, like a guitar or a bass, appreciating it for what it does by itself rather than what it could do with Ableton

Ah, I misread that.
I’m inclined to agree, based solely on the fact that learning how to get around on the MPC will take time and effort. It’s worth learning in many respects, but your time might just be better spent actually making music in an environment you’re already familiar with.
That being said, I love the MPC, and part of me wishes I had just stuck with working on it rather than diving into Ableton as well. It definitely has some strengths over Ableton, and they also work pretty well as separate environments working together.
How would you get a full track in one sequence solely with audio clips (not midi) is that possible?
