because they sign NDAs, even if they were we wouldn’t know about it, but most of the MPC youtube influencers get beta copies ahead of the official release for testing and to make videos about when the new features drop

bet, I wish they posted up a roadmap on the .com like pioneer did.
So what exactly is the story on this? I’ve seen it a couple times. Is it an after market kit users can install themselves? Or does this require some Engineering savvy to do it right?
There’s a link upthread and a video where he goes through the motions of opening the machine and installing it. It’s a kit which a guy developed which comes with the parts to reposition the screen at a 25 degree angle but does involve opening the machine and installing the kit.
It’s non-invasive so there’s no new holes and it’s fully reversible according to the creator.

Them kicks & snares is punchy AF. Not telling you change it, but I’m not feeling the hats hard panned left like that. I’m sure you’ll add more variations to the vocal chops later when you put some flesh on them bones. Would like to hear it when its done.

The first video was cool, but had the stupidest title. The 2nd is cool for people just starting out. I like Malo’s way of breaking thing down. He just too basic for me tho & I don’t want his samples. I like finding my own gold.

I get the feeling the retro color is done until the new generation of mpc comes out. Unless you want to go SE that is… It seems like they are moving away from that to sell whatever big thing comes next.
I find that I can often still learn something from people that have less experience than myself because we all have a different outlook and often approach things differently, you never know (I never know) when someone will drop a gem or how a piece of info will hit you, so when it comes to beat machines I pay attention to everything.

I wonder how much the angle would get in the way of the upper right pads on the Live 2. On the One it looks pretty awesome though.

I get that, which is why I said i like the way he breaks things down. It just that most of his info isn’t helpful for me because I already knew it or don’t work like that, tho I may had back in the day. I would still recommend his to people just starting out for sure. I hope you didn’t me as throwing shade on him.

This screen mod is from the Force MockbaMod Discord & I think it more an improvement but the dude doesn’t a sell a kit yet. I’ll send this the maker of this MPC mod & maybe he can make it.

no worries I understood, tbh I haven’t always carried this train of thought, in the beginning I was anti-sampling altogether… I had to grow into the acceptance of sampling and of course now I cannot live with out it… I just love beat machines so much that I could listen to someone who’s never seen one talk about it all day…and when I pick something up from outside of my perspective that’s just the cherry on top

It’s all good. Its just I’ve been making music since 2002 & started with a Boss DR-202 which couldn’t sample & but wanted a sampler so I never was against sampling. My first was the SP-505 in 2003 than moved on to the MPC1k in 2005, so that’s where I’m coming from when I made my statement about his stuff being basic to me or doing things in way that don’t work for me.

Just found out the same guy did both MPC & Force screen mods. So hopefully he’ll make for it the MPC.
