MPC Thread : MPC Live - MPC X - MPC One (Part 2)

I guess they are future proofing for the other range of plugins they might want to provide. It doesn’t justify the price bump however imho. I mean we don’t bump the price of computers or smartphones that have double the ram as one from 6 years ago.

I just upgraded to a 512gb SD card for 50€ (can’t believe it’s so small!). Love how easy it is to move files to and from my laptop without having to connect the mpc

OTOH, sampled scratches are cringe worthy. I mean nothing wrong with recording scratches, but make your owns and don’t use the same one twice.

why the gatekeeping? Maybe not everyone is able to scratch. Like most of the sampled-based-music-producers aren’t able to arrange and record the sounds they use and slice up for their music.

It’s like you are peering directly into my soul.

I thought he was talking about people who could scratch, scratching by people who can’t sounds as bad as singing by people who can’t… usually folks who don’t scratch get someone who can for their recordings don’t they

That is pretty much what I meant. You don’t want to hear me singing either.

Was not meant to be blaming. I just think that scratching is a form of art like playing every other instrument is and the least of us are able to play all those instruments that they use in their music.

it’s not that RAM is missing, it’s that disk streaming is missing IMO.

I phones are like twice the price as six years ago… it feels like it at least.

Only if you intend on buying the flagship models. I only ever bought smartphones in the 120/160€ range.

Well the new mpc studio is around the same price as the old one.

I accept your challenge.

Can anyone recommend a decent Bluetooth keyboard (qwerty) that definitely works with the MPC?

My experience has been that nothing Bluetooth “definitely works” with the MPC.

Cheers!

I’ve worked with the Korg Microkey air, a while back but the connection dropped after some time. Very annoying. Not sure if it was my keyboard that had issues or if it was the mpc OS

Yeah… I’ve tried a Logitech and a Keychron Bluetooth keyboard so far, neither worked.

I guess a wired one is the way to go. It’s only for times when I know I have a lot of naming to do.

Oh, sorry I read to fast! haven’t tested qwerty

Why not just use it in controller mode when you have a lot of naming to do?
