It’s a really useful free and opensource iOS app call Sonic Tools SVM – see the following link: Sonic Tools SVM on the App Store
I just discovered it a few days ago and I’ve been using it a bunch for my sound design explorations.

This is interesting. Thanks for posting the graphs.
Also dont forget there is FM Init sound in Hype synth, which is very limited, but can do some gentle FM sounds.
Perfect! Thank you.
I prefer the Reface CP because of its UI and simplicity. I only use 2 models (the first Rhodes position and the Wurli position) and the other controls it gives you cover a lot of ground.
Sound wise, they both sound great and there’s nothing the Reface does that I can’t get from the MPC… and the strength of the MPC is its depth of programming options.
EDIT: I’m referring to Stage EP here too btw, which I prefer using over Fabric Elec Piano.
Following up on the “impure sine” thread, I decided to do a few experiments on the Digitone. I found that a single operator (Digitone Algo 1; mix set all the way to X, no harmonics, etc) w/just a tiny bit of Drive added to it produces similar side banding to what the “base” OPx4 operator looks like, while keeping the signal in the oscilloscope very sine-like.
Here’s a pic showing the FFT spectogram for the Digitone w/the Drive at a value of 0.12:
It’s not identical but maybe the “impure” sounds of the OPx4 suggest some default amount of overdrive being applied to the signal in that synth?
Thanks. I bought it this morning before work, but won’t be able to install it for a few days. Was just curious and couldn’t find a demos for the keys sounds yet. I have a few other FM VST’s/apps, and a Digitone Keys so I’m covered anyway
Under $50 is what I was looking for to pick up OP4.
I can’t watch this, that red Mpc hurts my eyes.
Focus on the red gloves instead
What a great way to show how truly talented metro and Southside are. Beeee
Sounding like agrams album deep cut
Well, obviously it’s a bug then if that you need an external keyboard to be able to select/deselect events in piano roll / grid mode while internal shift function doesn’t do that.
Yeah, anyway we can be lucky that selecting / deleting works with cheap BT keyboards that are delivered with a BT dongle for MPC’s USB port.
And all renaming stuff is much easier with a keyboard, too.
That night and daydream record with the boy and dog is fucking awful haha. It’s lurking in my collection
question for those of you using the mpc software… if I install that and control it with an mpc one for example, is the operation seamless or do I have to fudge with the mpc plugin for any reason?
Okay so I do have a feature request, and I hate myself for it as generally I think people are too greedy with feature requests
An LFO tool that I can assign to random effect parameters.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding your request but you can do LFOs and a whole lot more with the “Env Follower” (yes, it’s confusingly named) accessible through the Macros section. See pg. 275-276 in the Force 3.2 manual.
You can modulate pretty much anything you can think of with LFOs or in response to various audio signals.
Macro’s… Force…
Not on the MPCs…
