Just found this amazing Swedish artist, Simon Stalenhag. He paints Sweden in the 70s in an alternate timeline where robots, revived dinosaurs and ageing particle accelerators dot the landscape.

Some of the hardware is almost Chris Foss - like ( one of my all time favourite artists )but the juxtaposition between that the landscapes / mundane people makes this totally otherwordly. brilliant.
I have his 2014 calendar on the wall in the studio. I love his style - perfect blend of retro futurism.
I can totally see Hector in flares and a body warmer cruising along in a Classic Saab in the snow with an Elektron box on his lap being pursued by robots and a pterodactyl.
